Windsurf Camp Ixia Rhodes Greece
After hosting a successful windsurf camp in August 2009, we will now be organizing 2 more camps in the summer of 2010. Together with freestyler Niklas Strahlen (S-4444), we offer these camps to improve your windsurfing skills, teach you those moves you've always wanted to learn and most important: to have FUN. From the beach and on the water Niklas will coach your windsurfing through out the week, combined with video and photo reviews your windsurfing progress should be boosted to the top! The spot in the north of Rhodes where the camp takes place the wind blows consistently cross-on from the west, which, combined with choppy blue waters and sunshine, make it the ideal playground for windsurfers. Our center stocks all the latest boards from JP-Australia with Neilpryde rigs, assuring the material wont let you down when trying that new move. For people wishing to bring their own material we also offers storage and transfer options. Waterstarting and planing in the straps are the minimum requirements for joining the camp. All Ages are welcome!

"Hey everybody!
My name is Niklas Stråhlén and I have
been windsurfing on a professional level for four years now. 2009 was a
great year for me as I ended up on a 5th place in the European overall
ranking, and I also started to do my windsurf-clinics together with Surfers
Paradise. Last summer we did our first windsurf-camp with a great success. A
really cool group joined the camp and they all learned a lot, and most
importantly, we all had a great time!
We usually start the day with a briefing of what everybody want to learn. Everything between your first gybes or tacks to loops and double spocks. We go through the moves on the "simulator" on land, just to get the feeling which makes it so much easier on the water later. We surf together and during the afternoon we do some filming of all of you. Filming is a great way to see exactly the improvements you are doing, and what you can do better. This is something that we are using a lot in our training for the competitions and it works really well! During the evening we check out the movie from the day, have a few drinks, some good Greek food and just enjoy life as it is! Niklas." A few photos from the previous camp:
